A pour-in-place paving system made from recycled tires, Firestone Flexi-Pave's porous surface provides effective drainage, without sacrificing strength. Flexi-Pave is manufactured using a nominal 3/8" rubber granule and aggregate held together by a Urethane binding agent. This "open-pore" design allows for the fast evacuation of water.

The elastic properties of the urethane and the compression capabilities of the rubber act together as one large, continuous expansion and contraction joint making Flexi-Pave the ideal surface for areas that experience freeze-thaw conditions and other subsurface movement, such as tree roots, that cause trip hazards and separation. By minimizing these hazards the high cost of repairs are all but eliminated as are the liability risks associated with these types of conditions. Additionally, the continuous expansion and contraction of the rubber allows dirt and debris to work their way through the pours allowing Flexi-Pave to retain its porosity over time.

Flexi-Pave can be used in new development, replacing traditional hardscapes and serving as an infiltration zone for capturing or controlling runoff. As an added benefit, by reducing the land required for stormwater retention, Flexi-Pave creates more usable space for building design and size.

Flexi-Pave can also be used for resurfacing. It adheres to a wide variety of materials including concrete, asphalt, wood, steel, roofing felt, most compacted aggregates, and aluminum, enamel tile and fiberglass when properly primed.
